DON’T FORGET THE DAYS OF NOAH

"Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the SON of MAN. People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all,” {Luke 17:26-27}.

INTRODUCTION:

People often forget the fact that the judgement of GOD always comes on rebellious generations of the world, who take HIS WORD for granted. If not, the human society would have taken permanent precaution from the great flood of the time of Noah. But, the statement of JESUS, “Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the SON of MAN”... seems to suggest that human beings do not easily learn from the events of the past, {Luke 17:26}. For, “they were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage, until the flood came on them unawares,” a picture of the fact of godless merriment, which are still prevalent in the world of today, and not a condemnation of eating, drinking and marriage, {vs. 27}. Based on the foregoing, the writer reminds the reader that;

THE DAYS OF NOAH ARE LIKE

THE DAYS OF JESUS

Present happenings, no doubt, shows that we are really in the days of JESUS, which He says would be like the days of Noah.  According to the Apostle Paul, the days JESUS speaks of, are the last days, which he says, “people will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of good, treacherous, rash, conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of GOD, having a form of godliness, but denying its power,” {2 Tim. 3:1-5}.

Now, the world, like in the days of Noah is full of the manifestations of evil, ranging from; kidnaping, ritual killings, human trafficking, drunkenness, prostitution and ungodly way of marrying and giving in marriage, demonic feasting, lying, cheating, hypocrisy, false gospels and other forms of unholy behaviour, while the glorious gospel of JESUS CHRIST is being preached, just as Noah preached the gospel of righteousness to the people of his days, who attracted to themselves the judgement of the great flood for rejecting it. Similarly, how do you think people of the present age {including you} will escape the wrath of GOD, if they reject the GREAT SALVATION, which HE offers through HIS only begotten SON? {Heb.3:2}.

THE ARK OF NOAH PICTURES

JESUS CHRIST- THE ARK OF SALVATION

     Noah in his days preached the gospel of GOD, while he built the arks, warning the people of the great deluge that would destroy those who would not enter the ark for safety, just as the gospel of CHRIST is being preached today, warning people of the dangers of not taking refuge in HIM. The ark of Noah was GOD’S means of salvation for the people of that generation, as JESUS CHRIST is the present WAY of salvation for all nations, {John 14:6}.

     However, it is obvious that as the people of the days of Noah rejected his messages and were destroyed by the flood, so are many likely to perish in this generation for not coming to JESUS in repentance, {Luke 13:3}. But, it is not the WILL of GOD  for anyone to perish, but that everyone should repent, {2 Peter 3:9}. This makes it unwise for one to remain and die in sin, as He further says, “Come now, and let us reason together. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool” {Isa. 1:18}.

THE FLOOD OF NOAH’S DAYS IS A MANIFESTATION

OF DIVINE JUDGEMENT

     The judgement of flood, as the LORD GOD has promised, will never be repeated, {Gen. 8:21}, but the wicked in every generation will never go unpunished, {Prov. 11:21}. Once again, the expression of JESUS, which states that, “as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the SON of MAN” {Luke 17:26A}, implies that HIS return will be sudden, just as the judgement of the flood of the days of Noah was sudden and will in turn expose sinners to the wrath of GOD, which may claim their lives or banish them forever from HIS presence, {Rev. 21:8}.

     But, blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may go through the gates into the city, {Rev. 22:14}. That is, those who would refrain from the ungodly eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage, as was the case in the days of Noah, {Luke 17:26B}. For, outside the corridormagic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practice falsehood, {Rev. 22:15}

     In conclusion, “be careful, lest at any time your heart(s) be overcharged with surfeiting and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day comes upon you unawares, {Luke 21: 34}. YOU HAVE BEEN INFORMED.

SOUNDS OF ETERNITY

“And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt”

{Danial 12:2}

INTRODUCTION:

     According to the Advanced Learner’s Dictionary, “eternity is time without end”, “the future life, and period of time that is endless”... The New Webster’s  Dictionary of the English Language, in another scholarly output describes “eternity” as “the endless state after death”. In the words of Reginald Heber, “eternity has no gray hair! The flowers fade, the heart wither, man grow old and dies, the world lies down in the sepulchre of ages, but time writes no wrinkles on the brow of eternity,” and this, therefore, implies that “eternity” is a changeless, as well as, an endless period.

BIBLICAL TERMS FOR ETERNITY

     The Bible uses three outstanding terms to convey the idea of “eternity” and these are; “everlasting”, “eternal” and “forever”. The prophet Daniel favours the word “everlasting”, which denotes, “something going on forever,” as he says, “many who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt”, {Dan. 12:2}. Saint Matthew prefers the use of the word “eternal”, painting the concept, which means something that has no beginning or ending, and lasting forever, as he narrates that, “the wicked shall go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into life eternal,” {Matt. 25:46}, as John, the revelator, picks up the word “forever”, which carries the idea of endlessness, as he portrays the notion of eternity, when he says, “and the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophets are, and shall be tormented day and night, forever and ever, {Rev. 20:10}

BIBLICAL HOMES IN ETERNITY

     When we talk of homes in eternity, we refer to homes beyond our present earthly homes. No doubt, homes in eternity are homes people after death, and GOD HAS only two homes for people during eternity, which of course, rules out the idea of purgatory and limbo, which the Scripture says nothing about. Biblically speaking, two homes exist, where people will spend eternity, and those are; “heaven” and “hell”. Heaven is a place of eternal happiness for the righteous, “then shall the KING say unto them on his right hand,  come, you blessed of my FATHER, inherit kingdom prepared

for you from the foundation of the world”{Matt. 25:34}, whereas, “hell” is a place of everlasting punishment for the wicked, “then shall HE say also unto them on the left hand, depart from me, you cursed, into everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels,” {Matt. 25:41}.

EXAMPLES OF PEOPLE IN ETERNITY

     The Bible pictures Davis, simply referred to, as “The Rich man,” and Lazarus, the beggar, as examples of eternity of torments and happiness. The Rich Man considered it not wise to serve God in his life time, whereas, Lazarus in his poverty, was committed to the worship and service of GOD, and accordingly, their individual decisions while alive earned them their respective homes in eternity. Thus, the Scripture says, “and it came to pass, that the beggar died and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom; the Rich Man also died and was buried; And in hell he lifted up his eyes, being in torments, and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But, Abraham said, son, remember that in your life time, you received good things, and Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented,” {Luke 16:22-25}.

STEPS TO ETERNITY IN HEAVEN

     Contrary to the erroneous views of some religious groups, which deny the realities of eternal torments of the wicked in hell, as well as the blissful state of the righteous in paradise, the Bible, even as this gospel project portrays, clearly shows that souls will live eternally after death, either in heaven or hell. Based on this fact, the writer shows how to escape the torments of hell, if one desires the eternal bliss of the KINGDOM OF HEAVEN:

Step 1: You must realise that you were affected by the original sin of Adam and eve. “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world and death by sin: and so, death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned” {Rom. 5:12}.

Step 2: You must repent of your sins, if you want to go to heaven. “I tell you, Nay: but except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish,” {Luke 13:3}.

Step 3: You must confess all known sins which you have committed. “If we confess ours sins, HE is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from unrighteousness, {1John 1:9}.

Step 4: You must forsake your sins in order to obtain mercy

from the LORD. “He that covers his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesses and forsakes them shall have mercy,” {Prov. 28:13}.

Step 5: You must receive the SON of GOD by faith into your heart as your personal LORD and SAVIOUR. “But as many as received HIM, to them gave HE POWER to become the sons of GOD, even to them that believe on HIS NAME, {Jn. 1:12}.

Step 6: You must begin and continue to worship GOD in spirit and truth. “GOD is a SPIRIT and they that worship HIM must worship HIM in spirit and truth,” {John 4:24}.

Step 7: You must live the life of holiness everyday if you wish to finally see HIM in GLORY. “Follow peace with all men and holiness without which no one shall see the LORD,” {Heb. 12:14}.

     In conclusion, don’t forget that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of GOD. “Be not deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abuser of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkard, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of GOD,” {1 Cor. 6:9-10}. And, if one does not inherit the KINGDOM of GOD, one definitely, will be turned into hell, {Psalm 9:17}. BE INFORMED!

DON’T GIVE YOUR SOUL FOR VANITY

“For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? {Mark 8:36}

INTRODUCTION:

     The fact of Satan, asking people to mortgage their souls for certain things they consider interesting cannot be over-emphasised. Painfully, most individuals enter into such agreement with him without considering the damaging implication of their actions. But, is it not foolishness to ask one, for what one knows does not belong to one? “The earth is the LORD’S and the fullness thereof”... {Psalm 24:1}. Then, why go to Satan for what belongs to GOD?

     Regrettably, today’s record shows an alarming rate of enrollment of people; pastor’s, politicians, musicians, as well as people of other professions into the Church of Satan, and other demonic fraternities, for the sake of “money”, “fame” “power”, which are the major products that Satan extends to those who are willing to give their souls for them, as the policy thrust of his kingdom remains “give your soul, and get “money”, “fame” or power,” which King Solomon refers to as “vanity”, {Ecclesiastes 1:2}. By this, therefore, I urge you by the HOLY SPIRIT;

DON’T GIVE YOUR SOUL FOR “MONEY”

     Money is a good steward, but when it is made the master of one’s life, instead of CHRIST, it becomes dangerous. People often give money the place of GOD in their lives, and this is the grand expression of the love of money, which the Holy Scripture says, is the root of all evil, {1 Tim. 6:10}. It may be revealing to note that those who join secret societies for money sign secret pact with the devil, based on his wicked policy, “give your soul, and get money,” an agreement that often leads to the sacrifice of other souls, in families and societies, just for the same purpose. Also, people give their souls for money unconsciously or without any official covenant with the devil, and this, plays up when they mindlessly and godlessly engage in money-making ventures. In line with this, the society is plagued with vices like; kidnaping, robbery, human trafficking, prostitution, lying, cheating and every other thing that is done to make money without GOD. But, the question remains, “what shall it profit a man, is he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul”, {Mark 8:36}?

DON’T GIVE YOUR SOUL FOR “FAME”

     “Fame” is another product the devil offers to people in exchange for their souls. It is amazing today that many are bona fide members of the Church of Satan, just for this slot, and to such a people, Satan always says, “give your soul and get fame”. Worrisome , also, is the fact that a good number of the people talented by GOD now dedicate their talents to Satan in their quest for fame, and detestably, majority of Christian and   non-christian musicians, pastors, politicians, and even the best administrators and technocrats in the world are fingered in this wickedness.

     But, does GOD raise people without bringing them to limelight? Abraham was called, with the promise to make his name great {Gen.12}, and today, we are all witnesses of the fulfilment of that very promise, which he waited patiently to obtain from GOD, at the appointed time. If the truth, therefore, must be said, many people perish for lack of patience, and you know, Satan takes advantage of this pitfall in robbing people of their precious souls, as in this case, his policy becomes “give your soul, and become famous, very fast”. Once again, “What will it profit a man, if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul”,{Mark 8:36}?

DON’T GIVE YOUR SOUL FOR “POWER”

     “Power” denotes, “the ability to control people or things, and many, no doubt, go to Satan to achieve this. Now, think of a wife who uses voodoo power to hypnotize her husband for certain gains. Consider, also, a businessman who lures customers to his business by means of charms, and reflect further on the lady who draws men to herself by the influence of the power of concoction. From a biblical standard, are the aforementioned powers from GOD? The answer is simply in the negative, as “power” within this context, is nothing, but one of the enticing instrument of Satan, by which he enslaves and destroys souls who consent to his diabolical offer, which draws enforcement from his evil policy, “give your soul, and get power”.

     In fact, to deny the existence and use of demonic powers in family and society is to play down on the WORD of GOD, which says, they exist. Unfortunately, at present, people still use witchcraft, and other forms of demonic powers in their bid to control others and events, a practice the Bible  refer to as an abomination, {Deut. 18:10-12}, and for your information, all those who use such powers, and those who patronize them, share in the satanic agreement, “give your soul, and get “power” “fame” or “money”. And, don’t forget that whatever one gives to the devil in exchange of one’s soul, amounts to “vanity”. For, at the end of such an individual’s life on earth, he will definitely have nothing,

[Eccl. 1:2}.

     In conclusion, “blessed are those who keep HIS commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gate into the city. But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters,  and whosoever loves to practice a lie”, {Rev. 22:14-15}. REPENT AND GIVE YOUR LIFE TO JESUS!.

SECURE A BEAUTIFUL HOME FOR YOURSELF IN HEAVEN

“... In MY FATHER’S HOUSE are {already} many mansions...And if I go, I will come back and take you to be with me...” {John 14:2-3}.

                           

INTRODUCTION:

     The book of Deuteronomy chapter twenty-six verse fifteen pictures Heaven as the dwelling place of GOD. JESUS confirms this, as He refers to it as “His Father’s HOUSE,” {John 14:3}, which He says believers would also live in,{Vs. 3}. In line with this, the Book of Revelation foreshadows the consummation of the promise, when it says, “After this, I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the THRONE and in front of the LAMB...” {7:9-10}.

     But, according to Louis Berkhof, “many conceive of heaven as a subjective condition, which men may enjoy in the present, and which in the way of righteousness will naturally become permanent in the future. However, the Scripture clearly presents Heaven as a place, for it records that CHRIST ascended into Heaven, which can only mean that He went from one place to another, {Acts 1:11}

NATURE OF HEAVEN

     Prophet Isaiah describes heaven as a high place, {Isa. 57:15}, as the Psalmist pictures it as a holy place, {Psalm 20:6}, John, the revelator, cites it as a happy place {Rev. 7:17}, as well as a place without death, {Rev. 21:4}. Heaven is further described as a place without night or darkness {Rev. 22:3-5}, and, as a place without hunger, thirst or excessive heat, {Rev. 7:16}. No wonder, Hannah Moore in Lockyer {1964:289}, talks of heaven as a place of “perfect purity, fulness of joy, everlasting freedom, health and fruition, complete security and eternal good,” as Lockyer posits that the “reunion with loved ones in heaven, fellowship with renowned saints, the absence of all sins, sorrow, pain and death, the conscious presence of GOD and the SIGHT of CHRIST combine to make Heaven the sphere of inexpressible felicity.”

KING OF HEAVEN

The LORD GOD is the KING OF HEAVEN, the earth, and every other planet. For, “HE HAS established HIS THRONE in Heaven, and HIS KINGDOM rules over all,” {Ps. 103:19}. According to Prophet Daniel... “thrones were put in place and the  ANCIENT OF DAYS took HIS SEAT. HIS clothing was as white as snow, and the hair of HIS HEAD as white as wool, HIS THRONE was flaming with fire, and its wheels were all ablaze. A river of fire was flowing, coming out from before HIM...” {Dan. 7:9-10}.

     In Isaiah chapter sixty-six verse one, heaven is said to be the THRONE of GOD, and the earth HIS FOOTSTOOL. This indicates that HE REIGNS over the heavens and the earth, which, according to Herbert Lockyer, the Jews of the old recognized  as three heavens, namely; the atmospheric heaven, where birds fly, wind blows, and the showers, mists, vapour  and the sun, moon and starry host, {Gen. 1:1}, as the heaven of heavens, where GOD dwells, is spoken of as the place of HIS immediate presence, {Ps. 11:4}.

SUBJECTS OF HEAVEN

     Lockyer further remarks that, “heaven is the final abode of all those redeemed by the BLOOD of CHRIST, an regenerated by the HOLY SPIRIT, {Titus 3:5}, and so, “the fearful and unbelieving, the abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters and all liars,” will not be there, {Rev. 21:8}. Also, the devil and his angels will not be in heaven {Matt. 6:9}, together with all those who manifest the works of the flesh, such as, adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness and revelries, {Gal. 5:19-21}.

     But, according to Alban Douglas {1991:230} “angels are there {Matt. 18:10}, Enoch {Gen. 5:24} and Elijah {2 Kings 2:11}.who were translated are there. Moses, who was buried by GOD {Matt. 17:4}, as well as all those who died or will be alive, trusting in JESUS till the end, will be there, {1 Thess. 4:1617}.

     In conclusion, please note that heaven is the opposite of hell, and one who fails to secure a beautiful home in heaven, automatically gets a place in hell, which is an abode of conscious pains and eternal sufferings {Luke 16:23-24}, as the Scripture does not speak of purgatory or limbo, which are baseless doctrines from the pit of hell to deceive. And, the idea that GOD will not punish sinners eternally in hell is the most dangerous religious deceit in history. For, “the wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget GOD,{Ps. 9:17}. Therefore, “seek first the KINGDOM of GOD and HIS righteousness, and the things you need will be given to you as well,” {Matt. 6:33}. DON’T BE MISSING IN HEAVEN
